How time flies – already the clocks have moved forward and the nights are much lighter.  Somehow with the summer months almost upon us we all feel that little bit brighter – well let’s hope that we do!

The spring issue of the Chamber magazine, Altruism will be dropping through your letter boxes shortly.  Within this edition is a feature on business support.  We have been exploring some of the practical help and funding available for businesses through Business Link Northwest, Trafford College and others. Please take time to read this and we hope that it will prove useful.

Should you wish to advertise within the summer magazine, now is the time to reserve the space.  Please just drop me an email.

Plus within the Chamber offices, we now have a ‘state of the art’ information point terminal from Business Link Northwest.  Members are welcome to call in and use this facility to view their website and the scope of assistance they can provide.

Many of you joined us at the recent evening ‘Mixer’ at Chiquito’s.  The evening proved a great success with members exchanging business ideas and viewpoints in a relaxed atmosphere.

As many members are aware 2009 marks the Centenary year for the Altrincham & Sale Chamber of Commerce.  Quite an achievement by any standard!  Another business who is also celebrating its Centenary this year is Ringway Golf Club in Hale Barns  and we are delighted to announce that they have just become a member of the Chamber.  Whatever took them so long!!!!

Some of our members might be interested to hear of their Centenary Pro Am Golf Day that is coming up on Wednesday 10 June.  This promises to be a fabulous day out and an ideal opportunity for fellow golfers to make up a team – plus ‘BIG’ prize money!  For further details, contact James Wallace on 07799 473011 or mail@jaswallace.com
