Chamber Celebrates 100 Years!

The Altrincham & Sale Chamber of Commerce celebrated its Centenary with a ‘Supersonic Extravaganza’. An evening of entertainment was held at the Concorde Conference Centre, a spectacular venue where guests dined under Concorde! The evening was hosted by Becky Want of BBC Radio Manchester and included the ‘Chamber Challenge’ which was hosted by Darren Proctor. Cole Page entertained guests wonderfully and a charity raffle was held for the Genesis Appeal.

Barclays Commercial sponsored the Champagne reception, Herb and Spice provided the catering; the flowers were courtesy of Barkers and the sound equipment and lighting was by Keyteq.

Representatives of businesses across South Manchester joined the Chamber’s Patron, The Mayor of Trafford, Cllr David Higgins together with the Vice Patron Graham Brady and his wife for the celebrations. An appearance from the air cadets all added to the flavour of the evening ….. Taking Business To New Heights!

The Supersonic Extravaganza video was specially produced to mark the Chamber's Centenary year and to showcase Saul & Company's video production capabilities. The programme is available on DVD at a nominal cost of £7.50. All profits will go to The Genesis Appeal. Please call 0845 6025853.

'Celebrity Networking!' 21 June 2009

Earle restaurant in Hale recently played host to around fifty members of the Altrincham & Sale Chamber of Commerce. The evening was sponsored jointly by Harold Sharp Accountants and Business Advisers and Earle Restaurant.

Members enjoyed presentations from three members, Andrew Copping, Partner at Harold Sharp who not only highlighted the many benefits in Accountancy that his practice offer – but also had constructed a poem to entertain guests! Jonathan Chadwick from Purple Penguin design updated members on the services that he can offer them and finally celebrity chef, Simon Rimmer updated members on all that Earle has to offer, not only from its menu but also with private dining/meeting rooms. As always members enjoyed a very entertaining evening.

Commenting on the evening Barbara Hallwood, Marketing Consultant for the Chamber added, ‘ The evening was a great success and we thank the co sponsors for their support. After chatting with Simon many of the members actually stayed behind for supper! We are delighted to be able to offer members different venues in which to network and we are grateful to the support that the members give to the events’.
