Chamber welcomes new members and works some magic

If you’re unsure whether networking is a good use of your time, then the Chamber team has some good news for you.

When Emma Duckworth met with Kathryn Shepherd-Jones of Stratevista Ltd earlier this year, she already knew of Kathryn’s track record in helping clients improve their performance, by engaging more effectively with their staff and customers. As their conversation developed, Emma recalls having a ‘light-bulb’ moment.

“I remember Kathryn talking about her 20 years experience developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies for businesses across a range of sectors,” said Emma, “and how her people centric approach helps to deliver sustainable results. Listening to Kathryn, I immediately thought of a conversation I’d had with another member, Broadoak Community Partnership Ltd, and knew I had to put them in touch”.

Having worked a little magic, Stratevista Ltd began working with BCP Ltd, developing a marketing and communications strategy for The FUSE – a £5million community facility funded by the Big Lottery, for which BCP is the management company.

The FUSE, unique within Trafford, is a world class, youth focused, state of the art centre for performing arts, sports and recreation.

Nick David, Joint Project Manager for the BCP Ltd FUSE project commented, “Kathryn and I were introduced as Chamber members. Not only is Kathryn passionate and enthusiastic about strategy development and working with our team, she leverages on her business acumen to think creatively and provide practical solutions. Kathryn delivered to deadline and that is a commendable attribute.”

So there you have it! Proof that networking works and that the Chamber team are proactively supporting our members!

If you’d like to get in touch with Kathryn Shepherd-Jones, call her on 07779 888421 or visit www.stratevista.com.

CHAMBER DIARY

"The receipt, once again , of such an expensive and dignified diary, pricked my conscience, because I know from my own experience how expensive they are to produce, especially just now.

I find your type of diary fulfills everything I need.  I keep all the Chamber's diaries which are filled with entries page by page and which are usefull if anyone wants to know where I was, or what did I do on a given day 7 or 8 years ago, I can tell them.

Anyway, thank you for next year's diary - it looks expensive and I'm sure they are expensive."

Business Showcase - November 2010

I was very impressed with the Showcase last night. I thought it was well run, well attended, with a really good mix of quality people. As soon as I walked into the room there was a very good "Buzzzzzz"! Also some good ideas - food, drinks etc. all good quality. We had really interesting chats and made some good contacts My compliments to you and your Team - I know how hard it is to make such events look so good and professional. I hope you receive very positive feedback from all participators? Also hope that events like that will help you put Altrincham back on the map.

Paul Mirage, Sales Director

"Since joining the Altrincham & Sale Chamber of Commerce in March 2010, I can honestly say that it has opened doors for my business by means of networking and as a result, I have managed to increase business and also Company awareness in such a short space of time. The key of which I find to being a member, is to be proactive by attending as many meetings as I possible can"
